Our beans are grown on our 4th generation farm where our family has been growing dry beans for four generations.
Keeping Michigan’s Bean-Growing History Alive
Michigan has been the largest producer of navy beans in the country since the early 1900’s, and our family has been part of that story since 1939. In 2016, Kevin Messing, great grandson of the original farm owner, started growing heirloom beans on the land. Our story lies in bringing these old varieties of beans back to life on the family farm.
